Description: Trencin Museum is located in the centre of the city, in the building of the former Zhupa House.
Trencin Museum was established in 1912 as a urban institution.
The collection of the museum includes 130 thousand objects (from the 16th - 19th centuries) - archaeological finds from the Middle Ages from Trencin castle, ancient ethnographic collections from the Trencin zhupa, the collection of pictures, prints and statues of the Ileshazy family and a late-Gothic altar Mourning for Christ from Podluzany (1480) etc.
