The Tihanyi Castle Banska Bystrica was built in the first half of 17th century in Renaissance style.
In 1819 the building was reconstructed and became a Classicistic style house and next reconstruction was in Neo-Renaissance style.
In 1972 the castle was decreed the Ancient Cultural Monument.
In 1989 after complex reconstruction the Tihanyi Castle was included to the Museum of Central Slovakia.
The Natural Historical Exposition of Central - Slovakian Museum Banska Bystrica offers image of the Central Slovakian natural situation.
The exposition has 8 parts (separate exhibitions installed in the two ground-floor rooms) which presents countryside of this region - typical illustrations of the natural systems and information about environment problems of nature.
The exposition also contains the audio-visual part with special natural historical programmes and other recent reports.
