Description: Museum of the Slovak National Uprising in Banska Bystrica is located in the Southeast part of the historical centre of the town, in a monumental building.
The museum was built in 1969.

Museum of the Slovak National Uprising Banska Bystrica is a specialized museum which documents period of Slovak anti-fascist resistance between 1938-1945 and the Slovak National Uprising.
Museum collects, protects and carries 66 956 different tree-dimensional items and 136 157 archival materials. The museum has also a library with more than 20 000 books and accompanying documentation, informative database and well technically equipped cinema hall.
The memorial of the Slovak National Uprising is a national cultural heritage.
