Description: Banska Stiavnica Castle is located on the hill, above the town of Banska Stiavnica.
The castle was built in 1564-1571.
Banska Stiavnica Castle was used as a watch tower in the anti-Turkish wars and as the town's live clock.
The six-floor Renaissance building has four bastions.
There is instaled the Exhibition Anti-Turkish Wars in Slovakia, which graphically documents the struggles of our forefathers.
The highest floor of the castle offers a panoramic view of the town and environs.
